- 06/25/07 01:06 PM – I went to the dentist one last time to get a filling. The dentist drilled really close to the nerve and it was extremely painful.
- 06/25/07 01:08 PM – After the dentist I met up with Carolyn for a last visit to the scary Chinese place. She was real sad. I tried not to think about it.
- 06/28/07 10:16 PM – I napped because my tooth was hurting, and then I couldn’t quite sleep because my tooth was hurting, so my sleep got messed up…

- 06/28/07 10:12 PM – I went out and dropped off a ton of clothes at Goodwill, then got more crates at Staples since they worked so well.

- 06/25/07 01:03 PM – I went to the dentist to get my permanent crown put on. The process was more discomforting than my root canal.
- 06/25/07 12:59 PM – Carolyn and I went to Moe’s for our last Mexican Monday, and then I went over to her place to watch her pack while Katie advised her on what to keep and what to trash.
- 06/28/07 10:06 PM – In between Moe’s and packing Carolyn took me to Staples and I got a couple of crates to test out as modular bookshelves that can double as storage.

- 06/18/07 12:53 AM – I need to keep up… Carolyn came over and made changes to her thesis, then we went over to Kinkos. Carolyn had to make a few more changes and we were there for a while, but I just read.
- 06/18/07 12:58 AM – After Kinkos we went to Subway and I had another meatball sandwich.
- 06/18/07 01:00 AM – I came home and sorted through clothes again. Then I took a mysterious long nap and it rained really hard.
- 06/18/07 01:04 AM – Ho hum, I went grocery shopping… I think I finished Papa to Kiss in the Dark earlier…

- 06/16/07 11:10 AM – Almost, but not quite. I woke up, but did not stay up. Tooth is still not hurting. Wow, it doesn’t even really hurt if I put pressure on it. That’s pretty amazing. Truth be told, I think it already feels better than before the root canal!
- 06/16/07 02:40 PM – I went to Einstein’s with Hubert and Donovan shortly after I woke up, but it was a really short visit.

- 06/16/07 04:15 PM – Haha, I just got a call from my dad… I made him a DVD for Father’s Day, and he had trouble working it. What’s funny is that the Father’s Day card I sent him had a joke about being the father of a technologically-oriented son.

- 06/15/07 09:02 AM – Yay! My little music hack worked… I’m also not in any extensive amount of pain. It only really hurts when I start to bite down and put pressure on that tooth.
- 06/25/07 12:45 PM – Carolyn and I went to Kokoro to have sushi one last time before she leaves. Carolyn was super excited to meet someone else (Christine) from the factory.

- 06/14/07 03:32 PM – I just got back from my root canal. I didn’t really feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure, which was nice and unexpected — the dental assistant was adamant about that. Oh yes, they asked me several questions before the procedure to make sure it was something that should be done, and the dentist was a little on the fence. But I told him that I had been thinking for a long time, and if I really thought there was any reason for me to avoid getting a root canal, then I would take it. Fortunately, once he got into the tooth, he said he was convinced that it did need a root canal after all, which made me feel better about my decision.
- 06/14/07 03:51 PM – Now the tooth is starting to ache. I just took half a tab of generic Vicodin — I have my atheism discussion group later.
- 06/25/07 12:26 PM – ADG was great. There were five new people, mostly through the Brights meetup that Todd has been updating (though, unfortunately, he wasn’t at this meeting). I argued that there are two components that religion can be broken down into — a way of knowing and a set of values. I then argued that science really only conflicts with religion as a way of knowing, but that it doesn’t have a coherent or explicit location for the values it assumes. Finally, I argued that these values should be based on pleasure. To support this point I asked everyone how they discern whether or not an action is acceptable or not when it falls outside established law, morality, or ethics, such as a married man engaging in cybersex. Though we had some trouble getting there, everyone generally agreed that in such a situation we use notions of harm (read: pleasure) to navigate such situations.

- 06/12/07 10:25 AM – There’s just no saving me… They just came by to show the property — guess that means it is time to get up.
- 06/25/07 12:24 PM – Oh yes, I also hurriedly made my video journal entry so I could shave and stop by Kelly Services, another temp agency.
- 06/25/07 12:16 PM – Ok, I remember this day now… At some point I went to Best Buy to get a new FM transmitter for the car. I spent a long time deciding on which one to get — luckily I was impatient and immediately found a problem with it, then went back in to get a different one…
- 06/25/07 12:19 PM – After Best Buy I met up with Angie at home and then we went to Khana Khazana for dinner. We then checked out Monsieur Ibrahim from the library and watched it at home. It was a really wonderful film.
- 06/25/07 12:20 PM – When the movie was over I went to meet Christine at Jakes, then ended up talking to Somaieh and her friends about pleasure when Christine went over to Pete’s.
- 06/25/07 12:21 PM – Everyone left and I went to meet up with Christine again at Petes for open turntable night. There weren’t many people there, but I really enjoyed the hard drum and bass that one of the two DJs played. Christine didn’t think I was having fun — like most, she was shocked that I’ve never done any drugs and I don’t really drink.
